Pair of Oil paintings on canvas, representing "Still Life Paintings". Both signed and dated 1.867, in the lower right corner by José María Murillo Bracho (Seville, 1827 - Malaga, 1882).

Sizes: 94 x 62,5 cm. without frame and 102 x 71 cm. with frame.  

José María Murillo y Bracho (Seville, 1827 - Málaga, June 2, 1882), also known as José María Bracho y Murillo, since he alternated their surnames, was a painter specialized in pictures of flowers and fruits, and also a restorer.

 He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Seville, being a disciple of Antonio María Esquivel.

He works as a drawing teacher in Cádiz and Jerez. In 1861 he moved his residence to a studio on Calle Ancha de San Bernardo, 41 in Madrid, where he specialized in the restoration of old paintings.

In 1876 the Academy of Fine Arts of Malaga joined the School as a substitute professor. In 1879, due to his fragile health, he ceased his position as a teacher. He died in the city of Malaga on June 2, 1882.
