Collector's fan that belonged to the photographer and publisher M. CHAPARTEGUY. Famous for his collection of postcards with his signature (Col. M. Chaparteguy). Seville. 20-30 years.

Country fan made of paper and wooden rods. Obverse painted in Watercolor, with a scene of Sevillian ladies going to the Maestranza, possibly painted by Chaparteguy himself, following HOHENLEITER models. Reverse with stamp of the CHAPARTEGUY studio. Signed on the obverse and reverse by more than 30 bullfighting personalities of the time, such as Manolete, Juan Belmonte, Domingo Ortega, “Bienvenida”, Sánchez Mejías, Marcial Lalanda, “El Bombita”, Gitanillo de Triana, Joaquín Rodríguez Ortega “Cagancho”, etc.

Signed on the obverse by the owner Chaparteguy (Seville).

Fan size: 50 x 27 cm.

Double glazed frame measures: 71 x 48 cm.

It comes framed and double-sided glazed.
